From a young age, Bishop Smith developed a profound love for gospel music. Influenced by legendary artists who inspired his early passion, he embraced music as part of his spiritual

identity. While gifted across all gospel genres, his heart was captured by the soul-stirring sound of Quartet music, where he quickly emerged with a style all his own.

At age 17, he accepted the call to preach, delivering his Initial Sermon in November 1992. His music ministry expanded soon after. In 1993, he co-founded The Radio Angels with Frank Simpkins, later performed with The Legendary Brewstaires, and reunited with The Radio Angels again in 2002 to record five successful CDs.

Over the years, Bishop Smith has shared the stage with gospel legends including Lee Williams, The Canton Spirituals, The Mighty Clouds of Joy, The Williams Brothers, Paul Porter, and Pastor Tim Rogers. He has also had the honor of singing for NBA icon Julius “Dr. J” Erving.
